Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live,… to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
Women Encouraging Lifelong Learning…
The Mentoring Ministry of Valley View desires to provide our women the opportunity to learn and grow toward what Titus 2 challenges us to become: Older women (not just age but faithwalk and life experience count too) connecting with younger women in both spiritual and practical aspects of living life together by investing time in relationship and learning opportunities.
To encourage women to pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through mentorships based on Biblical teaching, honest friendships and intercessory prayer so that once filled, they will in turn pour themselves out for Christ through acts of service toward others both in the church and throughout the community.
Periodically we will offer group mentoring sessions on various topics of interest including Spiritual Growth; Identity in Christ; Children; Empty Nest/Aging Parents; Marriage; etc…
