Vision Casting 2023
Sunday we wrapped up our three-part series on how to know God’s will. It’s an important question to be wrestling with at the start of a new year, to be seeking God’s will and direction for your life and for the church.
One of the ways we do this very intentionally, and what I think is one of the most important days of the year, is our annual vision casting banquet on February 1st, just one week away. 2022 was all about being hungry and dependent and of course we want to continue to stay hungry for God’s Word and depend on the Holy Spirit in prayer, yet I also feel He has a couple of new words ahead of us to give fresh emphasis to 2023.
You won’t want to miss this event that sets the tone for how we feel God has burdened our church for the coming year. Today is the deadline for sign up. To do so see below, or call the church office.
I believe God’s going to do great things in our church this year and in our community. One sign of that is how He stirred so many to give generously to update the Fellowship Hall. This Sunday I plan to give a short update on the project and share the current timeline projections.
Another sign is the ‘coincidence’ that some of the Life Group lessons are also covering the same topic of seeking God’s will. I didn’t know that before planning this sermon series and had to smile when I heard of it. I’m praying I’ll have better ears to hear from God in 2023! Thanks for all the ways you serve, give, and pray to reach Southwest Louisville with the gospel of Jesus Christ!
